The TheKidsDo (the ‘’Organiser") organises the Back-to-school Competition (the "Competition").
The participation period will begin on 28th August 2017 at 00h00 and will end on 8th September 2017 at 23.59. The draw will take place on Tuesday 12th September 2017.
3. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND MECHANICS OF THE COMPETITION
Participation in the draw is automatic for new parent-fans of the Organiser who, by liking and commenting on the Facebook or Twitter page of the Organiser during the Competition period, indicate their willingness to participate in the Competition.
To enter on Facebook simply like and comment one of the Competition posts letting TheKidsDo know the name of the organised after school activity / club located in the qualifying towns your child enjoys the most and why. The qualifying towns are: Kingston-upon-Thames, Surbiton, Twickenham and Richmond, in Greater London.
Or To enter on Twitter simply click through to TheKidsDo competition landing page and express your interest by adding your name and email address to the relevant sign up boxes.
No purchase is necessary. Participation and winning of the Prize do not involve any payment.
There is only one entry permitted per family during the Competition period. For the avoidance of doubt, only one entrant per family qualifies for the competition.
The total number of ballots that make up the draw will be composed of the sum of likes and comments made during the Competition period according to the aforementioned methods on Facebook or Twitter. There will be no blank ballots.
The draw will take place on Tuesday 12th September 2017. One ballot will be drawn at random and, if qualifying, will be awarded the Prize.
The Prize will be notified to the winner via the email provided (if the entry was submitted via Twitter) or via Direct Message (if the entry was submitted via Facebook) on Thursday 14th September and will be valid for one month until 14th October 2017.
4. VALIDITY OF PARTICIPATION
Participations is open to adults of age 18 years and over with one or more child/children aged 5 and over, who are resident in the United Kingdom AND in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surbiton, Twickenham and Richmond (all in Greater London), and who meet the conditions listed in these Terms and Conditions.
Employees of the Organiser (and their close relatives e.g. parents, siblings, or other person resident the same household) and of companies, agencies or other entities working with the Organiser may not participate.
Participation in the Competition through multiple Facebook or Twitter accounts belonging to the same person or participation by the account of another person is prohibited. Duplicate entries will be invalid. Entry made via a third party (including by use of an automated service) is not permitted; any entry made this way will be invalid.
Participation in the draw entails unreserved acceptance and respect of these rules and the terms and conditions, privacy and cookies policy of the website thekidsdo.com.
The information provided by each participant, and by the winner, must be valid and accurate. Otherwise, the participant may be excluded from the draw or, where appropriate, lose the status of winner, leaving the Prize property of the Organiser.
It is strictly forbidden to modify or attempt to modify the drawing devices or the results, by whatever means. The violation of this provision will mean the exclusion of the participant, and eventually the launch of legal action against the offender.
5. CONTEST WINNING
There will be one unique Winner and he/she will receive a Starter Schedule for two children (the ‘’Prize’’), free of charge, via email confirmation to the email address provided to the Organiser. The free Starter Schedule will be based upon the Winner’s requirements entered into the relevant form provided by TheKidsDo, and include activities in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surbiton, Twickenham or Richmond in Greater London.
The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any other provision of equivalent value, among other reasons for the unavailability of the initially planned Prize.
Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged, may not be subject to any claim or complaint, nor be the subject of a monetary value. The Winner guarantees to not claim any responsibility from the Organiser for the quality, features or performance of the Prize.
6. DESIGNATION OF THE WINNER
The Winner will be named after verifying the validity of their participation and will be awarded the Prize. The Winner will be contacted within 3 working day of the draw having taken place, by the Organiser via the email address communicated by the Winner to the Organiser or via Facebook. It is the participant’s responsibility to monitor their entire email/Facebook/Twitter account for the email/message.
If within 5 days after having sent to email notification, an email response from the Winner has not been received by TheKidsDo or the participant has not responded or has not provided the entirety of the requested details, the Winner shall be deemed to have waived her/his Prize and the Organiser will retain ownership of the Prize.
The Organiser may publish online or offline, by any means and in any form, the name of the Winner and the Prize awarded, without conferring any right to the Prize beyond the award. By entering the Competition, the Winner agrees to participate in publicity as reasonably requested surrounding the Competition.
The Organiser declines any responsibility if, by force majeure or events beyond their will or whose need is justified, it ought to cancel, shorten, extend, postpone or modify the conditions of the draw.
The Organiser reserves the possibility of extending the duration of the period of participation or to withdraw the Competition altogether for reasons beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control. In particular, the Organiser declines any responsibility in case the website, Facebook or Twitter are not available for the duration of the Competition or in case of malfunction of automated systems or if the information provided by the participants were destroyed for any reasons.
The Organiser will not be responsible for the non-receipt of any entry and cannot be held liable for system failures on the website or for any failure by third parties to fulfil their obligations or for any acts or omissions outside the control of the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason at its absolute discretion.
The Organiser’s decision is final in connection with all matters arising from this Competition and no correspondence will be entered into. The Organiser accepts no responsibility, liability or any consequences whatsoever for participating in this Competition or the Prize offered in relation to the Competition.
8. DATA PROTECTION
The data collected during participation in this competition will be that requested at the time of Competition entry and subsequent correspondence with the Winners, and its processing and use will comply with the Terms and Conditions, Privacy and Cookies policy present on the website itself. The participant accepts unreservedly the policy of data privacy at the time of Competition entry.
Note in relation to Facebook/Twitter: This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook/Twitter. Participants are providing their information to the Organiser and not to Facebook or Twitter.
9. APPLICABLE LAW
The laws of England govern this Competition, and in the event of any dispute the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
